Joe recently came across this Elephant Micah Facebook group and joined it. Feel free to join up, too.

In other news, Time-Lag Records has just released a very nice, very limited vinyl version of the Exiled Magicians album.  Joe has a handful of these for sale at elephantmicah.com.  If interested, please contact him as soon as possible to reserve a copy.  He also has a small number of the “In Midnight/Ocean Floor” 7 inch records, and a new hand-bound book he's calling Populated Mosaics.  The book compiles forty-four short poems that Joe has written since 2004.  Much of this material intersects with Elephant Micah songwriting.  If interested in these items, drop him a line at elephantmicah@hotmail.com.  You can find pictures and more info about these releases here.

If you are interested in seeing the Hideout show, please be advised that it will probably sell out in advance. (This is part of why a second show was arranged.)

One more item to report. If you surf over to www.elephantmicah.com you can find a newly-uploaded recording from a house show in what must have been the fall of 2003. This is a really nice bootleg made by Michael Anderson (BlueSanct Records). Here is the tracklist:

1 F___ed Up Blues
2 Nobody Knows, Rosie
3 People Behind You
4 Blue Ridge
5 When We're Speaking
6 Rose City (of All Our Dreams)

The first track is a Beck song. The rest you might recognize from CDRs released with Time-Lag Records around this time. Find the set as a .zip file by following the “Other” link under “Recordings” on the Elephant Micah website. Or, just follow this link to download directly.

NEW HUMAN ADULT BAND 7" SINGLE - JUNE 2009

Human Adult Band / Jad FairIt’s hard to contain our excitement for this worlds-colliding split single: One of our all-time favorites, Human Adult Band serves up a sludgy mess of rock on the A-side, “Samantha,” and by the HAB’s request, Mr. Jad Fair responds on the flip-side with a song-poem rendition of the same. While Human Adult Band’s original conjures the vibe of some criminally unsung No Wave act performing live in a bat-filled cave, Fair deadpans the same lyric over one of his trademark bloopy music beds. This is not to be missed.

To celebrate, Human Adult Band will be having a record release party tonight (Saturday, June 20th) Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ along with Screaming Females, Invincible Gods, The Van-dels, and Slaw. They'll follow up with a show at The Conway Barn in Conway, MA next Saturday, June 27th.

In the meantime, you can pick up a copy of new 7" single in our online store.

LOTS OF UPDATES, NO FOOLIN' - APRIL 1, 2009

There's been a lot happening at Third Uncle HQ in the past couple months. We have distribution for Elephant Micah's Exiled Magicians and Vollmar's excellent EP compilation 12" record. These releases should be available in your local record store on April 7th. If you can't find them, make sure to ask your record store to order them from Carrot Top. Of course, you can always order them directly from our online store, too. Elephant Micah is heading out for a few tour dates in the Northwest US in early April.

We've been working on several new releases. We have an initial batch of hand-printed Human Adult Band / Jad Fair 7"s that will be available on Human Adult Band's European tour that starts on April 2nd. These guys are AMAZING live, so be sure to catch them if you can. We're aiming to have the 7"s available for a full release and for order at our online store in May.

Besides that, we're finishing up artwork on the Gray Home Music / Red Queen Hypothesis limited edition double CD featuring two RPM Challenge albums by each band (four albums across two discs). Graham is also putting the finishing touches on The Meltdown, the new full length album by Gray Home Music which will be out later this year. Gray Home Music is heading out on an East Coast US tour this April with Microwave Background.
